It’s finally December, which means Christmas season is upon us, and so is the end of first semester! December 22nd marks the last day of the second quarter, with winter break following right behind it. Though the holiday season is a time of joy and festivity, it is also known to be quite hectic with all of the quickly-approaching deadlines, so it is important to stay as focused as possible through this portion of the school year.
Admittedly, it is much easier said than done, so I spoke personally to a student who has been there and done that himself, junior Garrett Alford. When asked how he handles all the end-of-semester chaos, Garrett explained his secret to staying organized.
“To help keep myself on task and not forget about assignments, I keep sticky notes on my [Powerschool] dashboards for each class. Every time I get a new assignment, I put it there.”
This just goes to show how even the simplest efforts can help keep you on the right track!
