Snake Season is Here!

Updated: May 20, 2020

Be careful of snakes this season. As the temperature has been getting warmer, more snakes have been coming out. Several snakes have been spotted at Minarets High School already, and there are many to come.

Be careful where you walk because they usually live near places that are populated because their prey comes over here for any dropped food, (If you don’t litter, less snakes will come). Snakes will hide in shady spots, or high brush, but they can be anywhere so be careful. The best advice is to stay on the concrete.

If you do hear a rattle, get away! Remember, they don’t want to hurt you but they will if you don’t back up. If you get bit it is important to stay calm try to identify the snake and to immediately get help.
