Minarets’ first monthly Wagon Wheel Wednesday was on Tuesday, May 1st; it was moved to Tuesday this time because of Spring AG Day was on Wednesday. Teachers nominated students who embodied the four behavior expectations (language, bell-to-bell, respect the tech, and mustang Pride) who were put into a drawing.
Overall, Mr. Ching said “I think it was good. People slowly came up and the crowd became larger towards the end. We want to reward students for living up to the four categories, which are respect the tech, work bell to bell, language and mustang pride. It’s to recognize the day to day effort and not just the big ones, like honor rolls and exemplars. This is the beginning of a tradition we’re going to keep up because we believe we have great students and we want to keep pushing ourselves to become better. The gift cards and rewards will continue to get better.”
The winners were senior Jacob Cullen, junior Olivia Kaczmarek, sophomore Isaiah Gibson, and freshmen Dane Altimus, Taylyr Moglia and Casey Tucker.
Overall, everyone is very excited for this new tradition and we can’t wait to see how it goes in the future.
