With graduation season in full swing, seniors are overwhelmed with looming deadlines, final projects, and end-of-the-year events so many are looking for help with the time-honored tradition of decorating their graduation caps. While many high schools do not allow graduates to decorate their caps, Minarets gives students the creative freedom to decorate theirs. To help support the graduating seniors, Miss Potigian, the senior English teacher, has been helping students create custom graduations caps.

She explained that she does this every year for the seniors because “I love art and having a creative outlet, also a fun way to have students express themselves, and since many don’t know how to create their own.” She charges students $5 to cover the cost of supplies and creates each cap during any available moment. “I do it everyday after school sometimes, before school, and random down moments when I have nothing to do.”

Having a teacher that is willing to make a custom cap for her students is one of the great things about attending Minarets. No where have I ever heard of a teacher more willingly to custom make caps anywhere at all. This dedication to the students shows how teachers at Minarets really go above and beyond.
