To kick off the new school year, Minarets Leadership put on the annual Back to School Dance on August 31, 2018. The theme was Party in Paradise and the gym was filled with images of colorful fish, tropical flowers, and birds of paradise. To add to the fun, Minarets Leadership also organized games for students to play, including Jenga, Yardzee, a cornhole.

Junior Mackenzie Camacho said, “I had a lot of fun at the dance.” When asked what her favorite song at the dance was she answered, “My favorite would have to be Fergalicious, Single Ladies, and any other I knew the words to.”

Junior and Leadership student Francine Soliz was excited because she “got so many freshman to go.” But she said that “tt would have been improved if more juniors and seniors went." Now with the first dance of the year one, Minarets Leadership have many more fun and exciting events to come.
