The local news channel ABC 30 is making a visit to our campus, Minarets High School, on September 21, 2018. The news channel is featuring two high schools in the area that will be playing against each other in a football game. This is a great opportunity for Minarets as it will give the school a chance to be seen by the public eye on television. Leadership teacher Ben Regonini is also excited for this event, stating that “it is very good publicity for schools who have the opportunity to do this as many do not make it onto local news networks.”

Regonini also believes that Minarets being featured in the news will let the public know more about our school. This is especially important to certain local areas where Minarets is not as talked about. “I think it is a great opportunity for the community to find out more about Minarets because some people in Fresno do not know about our school,” says Regonini.

And while it is true that the filming is quite early, students of Minarets are still encouraged to be a part of the filming. Teachers like Kaitlin Morgan, Brett Moglia, Therese Righter, and more are even offering pro-points to students who participate.

Students have already been involved in the process by creating signs for different campus clubs to display at the event. Here at Minarets, we are definitely excited to have received such an opportunity and cannot wait to be featured on ABC 30!
