Terrific Tacky Tuesday

Today was not a typical Tuesday at Minarets High School! Students and teachers participated in wearing tacky clothing for Derby Week leading up to Homecoming. The halls were full of silly socks and sandals, pigtails, and mismatched clothing.

Minarets leadership has organized optional games for students to participate in during lunch. Yesterday, students engaged in a fun and interactive meme musical chairs game. Today ’s entertainment was a relay. Several energetic Mustangs were involved with this activity.

Participants ran and spun repetitively before heading down the end of a runway where a bucket of fruits and vegetables were waiting for them. Students grabbed a fruit or vegetable with their mouth and ran back to “start” with the object between their teeth. The winners received a free homecoming ticket as their award.

The rest of Derby week will be just as exciting! Students and Staff will saddle up for Western Wednesday. Grab a friend and participate in a funky costume for Opposite Thursday such as salt and pepper, and on Spirit Friday wear your class color or go all out in Mustang pride attire!
