On our third annual Community Day, our art teacher, Mrs. Gamble had students create animal toys for the Eastern Madera County SPCA. Students created dog and cat toys using different materials such as cotton, feathers, shirts, socks, yarn and other materials provided or brought to create different kinds of toys. The art-room was filled with music and students focused on making toys, having fun and being creative.
Paul Schuyler, a freshman, says “I think it was really fun and chill, you get to be creative and make toys. I chose this so I can create toys for the dogs and cats”. During Winter Break, Mrs. Gamble will take these creations and donate them to the SPCA. Overall, this year was a great success and we’re very thankful for having the opportunity to give back our community.
