Students Hit the Slopes!

Writer: Sandra DriscollSandra Driscoll

Students took to the slopes of China Peak on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Led by teachers Ryan Hansen and Michael Vaughan, students left Minarets High School at 6:15am and arrived at China Peak at 8:30 am ready for skiing and snowboarding.

With the option of bringing their own equipment or renting them, students received a one hour lesson followed by free time where they were able to ski or snowboard on their own until 4:00 pm. They had the opportunity to ride where they pleased or hang out in the China Peak Lodge if they needed a break. Despite breaking her leg on the slopes, sophomore Grace Hansen explained “It was a great experience and I hope next year we can go again and for longer time.”

Thank you to Mr. Hansen and Mr. Vaughan for letting students experience this trip.
