A New Chapter

The end of last school year left everyone in tears as they shared heartfelt goodbyes to numerous teachers and other staff members, even Dr. Ching, now Spring Valley's principal. The many students that have attended Minarets since the current school year started have seen numerous changes. The rules have changed, a majority of the teachers are new, and there are many new faces around the school. The seniors who have been here since 2019 have seen all of these changes occur. The changes around campus are providing a new look at high school for many of the students who have been at Minarets for a while With all of the new rules and the lack of familiar teachers Minarets has become a confusing place for many of the students. When asked about the changes sophomore Niko Lombardi said that I miss Ms. Lascano and I don’t know how to feel about the addition of pro-period. Pro-period is new to a majority of the students at Minarets though the seniors remember having a 15-minute pro-period before the start of lunch the 40 minutes at the end of the day is new to the entire student body. Some believe that it's a good add-on to the school and will help the students struggling with assignments and hopefully better their grades.JuniorTrace Hartman when asked about pro-period said, It's definitely something to get used to, I would say that there are some odd things about the schedule but I also like the new teachers this year, however, I would say the pro-period is a weird addition. any returning students may agree with Hartman and feel the same way about the new late start Wednesday schedule and the addition ofPro-period at the end of the day

With all the new changes at Minarets a school is a different place than what a majority of the current students are used to, and though we don’t know the cause of all of these changes we all waiting to see the outcome.
