“Go Big, Go Pro, Go Now” was heard echoing over the mountains early this morning, as the Minarets Mustangs showed their school pride. Friday, Oct. 25, marked the school’s second consecutive year of being featured on ABC 30’s Game of The Week.

The students at Minarets came out bright and early to show their school spirit, arriving at 5 a.m. The news segment showed off different aspects of the school, some of the extra features included, Minarets’ Show Band, the Football Team, and the Cheer Program. Along shining a light on the programs offered by our school, a few members of the Minarets Community were interviewed on live TV, Principal Daniel Ching, ASB President Colby Jobinger, Varsity Football Head Coach Becher Marr, and Junior Football Player Moises Agundez, were all featured this morning on ABC News. Minarets Press got a chance to talk with Coach Marr where he revealed some of the game plan for tonight's match up against the Sierra High School Chieftains. Tonight should be an exciting game as it is the Dam Bowl and Senior Night, where seniors from Football, Cheer, and Equestrian team will be recognized.

As Ching put it “I don’t want to jinx anything”, but tonight's game should be a good one. The Minarets Mustangs, coming off of a loss last week, are looking to break into the playoffs and end their season strong. While the Sierra Chieftains are searching for their first win of the season coming into tonights’ game. Whatever the turn out, the game is sure to be a high intensity, competitive matchup adding to the heated rivalry.
