On September 25th, at roughly 4:00 P.M., many seniors gathered at the student parking lot to hang out with friends and enjoy a fun-filled evening full of food and games. Officially called the “Senior Tailgate” this event was parent-led, specifically by the Weir Parents Mr. Kevin Weir and Mrs. Brooke Weir, and given the positive feedback, they did a fabulous job!

Our seniors had choices regarding how they’d like to spend their time, with Bean Bag Tic Tac Toe, Corn Hole, and simply a lot of chairs to pull up and talk being available. There was also a raffle for items like a hoodie and lunch passes. The seniors were treated to BBQ and goodies as well, and many could be seen enjoying games or just appreciating each other’s company.

Senior Huston McClure states “I think future seniors will enjoy this, it is a great and fun environment to be in and I would highly recommend it.” Hopefully, the Senior Tailgate is something that can resume to happen for many years to come.

Thank you to the Weirs for putting together an event for our seniors, leaving them a fantastic memory to take home!
