Mustangs Volleyball goes to playoffs

The Minarets volleyball team has made it to the playoffs! They have had an amazing season so far, now 12-0 and have hopes of making it to the Valley Championships.

Senior Melia Kamalani, #6, on the varsity team is an outstanding player. She always puts her heart into the game and on the court even if she’s hurt. As of Thursday's game, the team is now Sequoia League Champions. The first playoff game is on Oct. 26 against Sierra Pacific High School.

Varsity coach Karra Zamorastated says “my goal in playoffs is to just play our best together as a team, no matter who we get placed against."

She also said that she believes that they will win, as long as everyone puts their best foot

forward and puts effort in.

Senior Eleighn Mason says her favorite part about the team is “becoming a family”.

As the first round of playoffs approaches, the school hopes to see the Minarets volleyball team go to the championships.
