Minarets had its fourth Annual Community on December 19, 2019 and many teachers did different activities for students to participate in. Math teacher Ryan Hansen hosted his own activity by picking up trash along Road 200. For an hour and a half, the students wore neon green vests and picked up all the trash along Road 200 between Minarets and Spring Valley. His students were pretty amazed by some of the things they found, while others just picked up the trash without a word. Junior Noah Mclaughlin explained, ”It felt great to know that I made our little community look better in just a tad bit way”.
After the group got back with a ride from Hansen, they all threw away the garbage bags in the dumpster and posed together for a picture. They can all enjoy Christmas Vacation, knowing they did a good deed. Oscar Olfusen a transfer from Denmark explains "it felt good helping out another community because now that I've been here I could kind of call it my community as well”.
