Boys Basketball

The Minarets varsity basketball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against Fresno Christian (Fresno, CA) in overtime by a score of 69-66. Coach Anthony Patino took his players into the game ready to rock and roll Tuesday night. The Mustangs being (0-2) in league, came out to the court hungry for a win. The Mustangs started out the first quarter slow, Mustangs scoring 9 points and the Eagles 15 points but started to pick it up after the first half. The Mustangs are not really known for being a second half team came out and surprised the crowd by scoring a whopping 21 points to completely flip the game around.

The crowd was roaring as the Mustangs and Eagles battled it out. The score going back and forth by one or two in the fourth quarter. The Mustangs up by three points in the final seconds of the game and boom! The Eagles scored a three point shot to send it into overtime (59-59). The Eagles and Mustangs fought for the game but the Eagles coming out victorious over the Mustangs in the end.
