Shooting their shot, the Minarets girls basketball team is ready to reach the top. With their 7th period being dedicated to basketball practices, the girls have put overtime for pre-season. Drills push the girls to do cardio and position to shoot, Which strengthens their physical abilities. The girls have potential for greatness and the coaches are all too excited to start the season. Coaches Brett Moglia and Mary Pearson are determined for the girls not only to become the best individuals, but to become a family. Mr. Moglia says, “ We push our players hard and want them to be attentive and we demand that in practice , during a game for instance when we have a timeout me have a sm very short amount of time to make quick adjustments.” Mr. Moglia having coached for 15 years knows exactly how to build a team. ” When building the team we succeed together and have set back together and when you create that where everyone wants the team to succeed it doesn't always have to be a win to have successes.” A new year means more growth for our team , having new faces just means having a bigger basketball family. With our first scrimmage game coming up on November 26th it is time for our girls to shine!”
