Victory for Boys Soccer

Updated: May 21, 2020

It may be pre-season for Mustang Boy Soccer, but they are already victorious with their latest game against Laton. Minarets started the first half with their foot on the pedal putting up four goals and allowing zero. They kept the ball rolling, literally, in the second half scoring five more goals.

By the end, the final score was 9-0 a dominant performance from your Mustangs.

Senior Ashton Freeland and freshman Noah Segura both had phenomenal games, with great passes and runs during the game and both of whom scored three goals.

This game was a good showing of what the team is capable of and hopefully the success will roll over to the next game against Sierra which is Wednesday, November 28.

The Varsity coach, Juan Ibarra, talked to the team after the game, “This game was a good start, but we do have many things to continue to work on.” This game has given the time the opportunity to not only celebrate their victory, but also reflect on how they can improve for the rest of the season. The preseason is the first step of the soccer teams year and it has a positive outlook so far.
