9/11 25th Anniversary Memorial

September 11, 2026 marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Minarets School of Rock performed a show in the well in honor of  the people who passed away on that tragic day during Pro Period. They began with a moment of silence to honor the fallen, then proceeded with a bugle call, where Mr. Samuelson performed “Taps” Everyone was instructed to look at the flag which was at half mast. 

After honoring those who passed, Mr. Von Wagner gave a speech about what happened on 9/11, the heroes who risked their lives and all of the hardships we had to go through and how even with our differences, it had united us as one. We were simply people who wanted to support and help one another.

After the speech members of the School of Rock played three songs to honor the victims of 9/11. The songs played were The National Anthem, sung by Evelyn Gamble and Destiny Nelson, Even flow by Pearl Jam, and Separate Ways by Journey, which were played by the band. 

Thank you to the School of Rock, Mr. Samuel, and Mr. Von Wagner for making this tribute happen. We will never forget the tragedy that occurred on 9/11. Minarets will continue to honor the past,

while looking towards the future with hope.
