What a night! Everyone did a fantastic job presenting their showcase project to the parents! Principal Ching was most definitely impressed by our hard work. Parents, students, teachers, and community members enjoyed going around and seeing all the amazing projects each student has been working on.
Junior Ben Esau explained his thoughts on this year's showcase, “I believe that this was a great opportunity to be able to show my family what I do regularly at Minarets and what I have learned this year in English Class.”
The teachers were also proud of the success of the night. History teacher Bob Kelly said, “We did an open house focused on a guide given by the seniors on Government”. Kelly’s class did an excellent job that night and he said, “I don’t plan to change anything, the only difference is the election will take place right after next year’s Showcase night.
Other showcase events, included a mock trial for English teacher teacher Michael Vaughan, Ag department showcase of CDE teams, the Mustang Minute broadcast for media teacher Juan Ortiz, and the Showcase Special edition articles done by the student journalists of Minarets Press.
Overall, Fall Showcase 2019 was a great night and everyone had a great time. Every student did an amazing job showing their projects to the parents and they should be proud of themselves for their hard work. Minarets staff is already discussing plans to make next year's showcase even bigger and better.
