Boys Basketball: Mustangs v. Grizzlies

Updated: Sep 27, 2020

By Alexis Loewen and Eve Romano

The boys basketball team at Minarets High School played their first scrimmage to start off their season on Nov. 15, 2019. The scrimmage took place here in the Minarets gymnasium with the Mustangs going up against the Mariposa Grizzlies.

Both Ryan Hough and Phoenix Bedolla are juniors on the varsity team and shared that they believed the team could make it to the finals if they put in enough effort and if they believed in themselves.

Since it was just a scrimmage, the score wasn’t kept but the Mustangs didn't leave the court victorious. But one thing the opposing teams need to understand: The Minarets Mustangs always come back stronger. They’ll take this loss and use it to shape them into a better, stronger team.

Be sure to come out tonight and cheer on our boys against Strathmore!
