Boys Soccer Makes History at Orosi High School

Writer: Delaeny StevensonDelaeny Stevenson

Boys varsity soccer played an away game vs Orosi Highschool. They won 3-2 with senior Noah Segura scoring two goals and senior Gabe Castenada scoring one goal. This was the first time they have ever beat Orosi so this was huge for their team this also helped them in being able to make it to playoffs.

This game was a very intense game and all of the boys were working hard the whole game. Castenada explained, “The game went just as planned, we came out with a dub, and we all played well.” This was a very good game for them but there is always room for improvement. Senior Brandon Gaylon explains “We can work better as a team and communicate more.” The boys are working hard at practice to make these improvements and continue playing well to make sure they make it to the playoffs. Junior Zach Martin says “We want to make sure we beat Caruthers and go to playoffs.” This is their main goal is making it to the playoffs and playing to the best of their ability for the rest of the season.

The last two games of league are Tuesday, February 8 at Minarets and Friday, February 11 at Caruthers so come out and support the boys.
