Faculty of The Week: Mr. Davis, Champion in the Classroom and on the Court

Updated: Apr 28

This week, Mr. Davis received the most votes for Faculty of the week! Mr. Davis is a Living Pro and Minarets C’s teacher located in the 600 building. He has been teaching these subjects for the past year and a half. Aside from being a great teacher, he has also been one of our stellar basketball and volleyball coaches. Coach Davis is always pushing students to their limits in the classroom and on the court. As a coach, he is driven and easily a standout teacher because of his fun personality. When I asked senior Maximus Porter a few things he liked about Mr. Davis, Max said, “I like how enthusiastic and engaged that he is, even when he is tired. I really appreciate that.”

When we got a chance to talk to Mr. Davis about receiving the most votes, he said, “It’s amazing! I feel great– I can't believe that I got nominated.” When we asked him what his thoughts were on having his own article on the Minarets Press website, he said, “It’s great; our website has been doing a great job.”

We are glad that we have someone like Mr. Davis to feed into the Minarets culture. Mr. Davis definitely represents the 6 C’s and is very close with students. We thank him for the energy he brings and the effort he puts in everyday coaching and teaching. We look forward to the future of Mr. Davis and him bringing his amazing personality, along with his excellent teaching skills, to school everyday.
