Faculty of the week: The Wizard of Minarets: An Exclusive with Mr. Vaughn

On January 31st, I got the opportunity to interview our Beloved English teacher, and the Wizard of every year, Mr. Vaughn. He has been teaching for 12 years total and 11 years here at minarets. Since I got to interview him this friday, I asked some questions. One question I asked him was why he dresses up as a wizard every year for halloween. To this he responded “I'm too poor to afford any other costumes” I also asked Mr. Vaughn about why he takes students for China Peak trips every year, many students go to these events during the winter and it is really enjoyable to do it with ‘The Legend’ himself.  He explained “Because a lot of kids can't afford to Ski and snowboard, so it gives them access to the sport.”

I'm really glad I got to spend this time getting to know Vaughn as more than just an English teacher. I truly appreciate the time I got to interview the one and only, Mr.Vaughn. He is a very supportive teacher and it was an amazing offer. I'm very grateful for everything Vaughn does for our school and I know many others do as well. We all appreciate everything you do for us Vaughn!
