On Friday, October 31st, the amazing Minarets football team battled the Yosemite Badgers on Halloween night. The Badgers showcased their power, teamwork, and dedication, but under the bright Friday night lights, the Mustangs delivered one of their most promising performances yet, defeating Yosemite by a wide margin. Mustang fans went wild, standing on their feet from kickoff all the way to the final whistle.
From the very start, Minarets came out hungry for a win. Quarterback Torin Wolf connected with wide receiver Caden Larsen for an early touchdown that set the tone for the rest of the game. The defense quickly followed, shutting down the Badgers’ offense with relentless pressure and a pair of interceptions. By halftime, the scoreboard told the story—Minarets was in full control.
The energy on the field matched the excitement in the stands. Students dressed in creative costumes, with painted faces, cheered passionately for both sides. Running back Killian Paschell received the ball from Torin and bulldozed through defenders for a huge gain. The Badgers’ defense made it challenging for the Mustangs to score, but that never stopped them.

During the fourth quarter, Minarets added yet another touchdown, solidifying their dominance. When the final buzzer sounded, the Mustangs had not only defeated their rivals once again but also proved they are a force to be reckoned with.
Coach Wolf said, “We came out ready to fight and with big hearts — you all earned it.” With this Halloween victory, Minarets improved their season record and brought home more than just bragging rights — they claimed another Southgate Showdown trophy. In the end, the Mustangs dominated the Badgers with a final score of 46–0, making this a game to remember.
