A senior spotlight on Luke Pearson, telling Minarets about his time in high school. Luke Pearson has been attending Minarets for all four years of his high school years and you can see the growth that he has gone through.
Luke is planning on pursuing a career in software engineering, and a teacher who helped him get to this point is Mr. Chacon, who left the school back in 2022 but was a huge inspiration for Luke. “Mr. Chacon helped me the most, by letting me explore more
advanced programming concepts in his basic Python class.” Mr. Chacon let Luke go above the standards and was curious about what he could do. “Mr. Chacon encouraged me to continue learning new things which made me want to pursue that career even more.”
Another thing that pushed Luke was his media class, according to him, it has gotten him comfortable in front of a camera and operating one.
Luke Pearson has been going to this school for a very long time and one piece of advice he would give incoming freshmen is this. “ I would say don't let work pile up for no reason because if you don't have a reason not to do the work, do it.”
