The Minarets High School football team had yet another victory on Friday, November 15th, they played against the Boron Bobcats and won with a score of 49-12. With lots of fans watching and wonderful school spirit, it was a night to remember for everyone who attended the game as it marked the second home playoff game this season. Some notable plays came from star player Caden Larsen, who had a 15-yard touchdown from a beautiful pass by quarterback Torin Wolf in the third quarter. Also adding towards the score, linebacker, Matthew Carlton, with a pick from the 44-yard return and scoring yet another touchdown! We have quite a team here at Minarets.

One thing that makes our Mustangs stand out is that they just never seem to let up, with only one minute left in the third quarter, quarterback Torin Wolf got a 15-yard pass to defensive end Andrew Mellon, who made the touchdown. Our quarterback, Torin Wolf, is nothing to scoff at either, he made a rushing touchdown from the seven-yard line in the fourth quarter.

You can call our football team ‘the single ladies’ because they’re about to put a ring on it! The Mira Monte Lions should be scared, because the Mustangs have a record of taming wild cats,  and leaving the Boron Bobcats and Tranquillity Tigers in the dust. Defensive end, Brody Escobar, is ready to face the Lions, “My prediction is that we will get the dubs and the score will be 40-17.” Celebrating another great victory, the lovely Mustangs will be onto round three of playoffs on our home turf on Friday vs. Mira Monte. Dress warm, bring your chairs, and your amazing energy to support the team this friday! Your Mustangs deserve it! With an amazing record and community, Minarets football is expected to have a good playoff run. Best of luck to your Mustangs as they gear up, get hyped, and defend their home team once again as they continue their amazing championship journey!
