Minarets Softball Vs Farmersville

By Halley Frausto

Minarets softball girls had an away game against Farmersville on Tuesday, March 18th. Minarets girls won, 14-9, they had their starting players in the infield,  Faith Rios, Addison Lafferty, Halley Frausto, Kristina Nichols, Aiyana Bos, and then outfielders, Keira Evans, Addy Nielsen, Lacie Bebout, and pitcher Caitlyn Videgain.

It was a good game, the girls battled out there. There was a lot of excitement, and cheering. They had a bunch of cheers to get everyone hyped. Minarets softball girls were up first to bat and first to score. They looked like a great team out there, the way they played out. Every inning they were scoring at least a few for those 7 innings.

Starting pitcher Addison Lafferty says "The team is doing good so far, we just need to work together more. The game against Farmersville in my opinion was great. We worked together in that game.  Also says  “Someone I look up to is Hailey Dolcini. She was a pitcher for the Texas Longhorns and is my pitching coach.”

There were good plays that game from the shortstop, second baseman, and right outfield, overall everyone played well.  Minaret's softball girls ended the game with a great attitude and were happy. Got their win against Farmersville.
