Garner helping students in Ag Food and Natural Resources

Jennifer Garner, one of Minarets High School’s newest teachers, is very excited for the upcoming year. She may be new to the school, but not new to education with over nine years of teaching experience prior to becoming a Mustang. Previously, Garner taught a full day class (a class of the same students taught all day) at Yosemite High School.

This year at Minarets she has taken over two math classes, an SDC English class, study and life skills classes, and she helps out in the Agriculture Food and Natural Resources class.

Garner said that coming to Minarets High School was easy choice to make since her son, senior Thomas (T.J) Garner, attending Minarets since 2017 and “the positive atmosphere, and student focused mindset of Minarets."

Although she is the one doing the teaching, she has been learning. Learning the technology is going to take her some time, but she is very excited for all the new possibilities the technology poses for teaching. In an interview she stated, “The students have been helping me learn technology, and Miss Morgan has been helping me out a lot; I have learned so much already in the A.F.N.R. class”.

Minarets is very excited to welcome Garner to the school!
