Sadies 2024

By Gennie Munoz This year Sadies was a little different than in past years. In previous years, Sadies was hosted at John’s Incredible Pizza. To switch it up, leadership chose for Sadies to be at Blackbeard's. They chose Blackbeard's because of all the different things you could do there. Everyone that showed up to Sadies, had a really fun time and enjoyed themselves. At Blackbeard's, there were many options to do many different things such as mini golf, go cars, an arcade, basketball, and a dance floor, and there was also lots of food provided or food to be purchased. Savannah Wilson and Kaileen Barredo enjoyed themselves and wished more people had gone to Sadies.

Savannah Wilson and Kaileen Barredo both believe that even though they had a very fun and eventful time at Blackbeard's, they would rather Sadies be at a different location next year; especially for their senior year of high school. Savannah Wilson had recommended Sadies be at K1 Speed and Kaileen recommended it be at Defy. Savannah said, “With the new location, more people would want to go to Sadies and leadership would make more profit”. Another thing that people are mentioning is that “The ticket prices were too high”. Savannah Wilson, who is in leadership, made a strong argument that the ticket prices were the same price as Blackbeard's wristbands, so the tickets should not change in price. Kaileen Barredo who isn’t in leadership also said “The ticket prices do not need to be changed”. Overall, both Savannah and Kaileen had an enjoyable time and are going to go to next year's Sadie Hawkins dance.
