Senior Night Mustang Softball Game

By Halley Frausto

On April 30 Minarets softball played against Parlier and had their special senior night for their two seniors Caitilyn Videgain and Keira Evans. Both seniors played softball throughout their high school years. It was their last home game of the season.

Softball came out ready to play and to make it a memorable one for their two shining

seniors. The game included two in-the-park home runs and many great plays on the field. Both seniors went out there and played their game. Caitlyn Videgain started by pitching and had great pitching on the mound. Keira Evans had some amazing catches in the outfield.

When asked about her favorite moment of the season, Caitlyn shared “Playing YHS because it was always so fun and intense. I love how excited everyone gets when we win.” Keira’s favorite moment of the year was also beating YHS. “When we beat YHS this year and were able to battle it out and win the final second,” she shared.

The Mustangs cruised to victory on senior night with a final score of 16-6. Following the game the Mustangs made a tunnel for Caitlyn and Keira to walk through. They shared a few words and received their gift baskets. A Minarets softball tradition, Keira and Caitlyn then ran the bases one last time.

Senior night was one to never forget for the seniors. We will all miss you, Caitlyn and Keira!
