Chloe Tossetti has attended Minarets High School all four years. During her time here, she has learned so many valuable life lessons that she would like to share with us. Things regarding her friendships as well as learning to have more appreciation for everything.
To begin, Chloe says: “Minarets has impacted me through relationships I formed my sophomore year of high school and on. After I found the friends that I have now, I found the importance of female friendships without competing or comparing each other constantly. We always try to lift each other as well as support one another.” Another thing she has learned here at Minarets is to have more appreciation. “The teacher I would say made the biggest dent in me is Mrs. Gamble, she always has a kindness to her. Talking to her is so easy. I remember I spent my sophomore year being stupid, getting bad grades, and not appreciating Mrs. Gamble and a few other teachers in the way I should have.”
To finish off her senior year here, she plans to write a book for her SLE. The book will be written for Minarets C’s class. The book will be a guide for future freshman classes, and what they should expect when coming to High School. “It goes over my advice to the freshman on the best things you need to know,” she says. This book will help the freshman transition into high school life, as well as gain more understanding of the school grounds on where to go if you need help with anything.
Chloe’s hobbies include reading, listening to music, going to concerts, and writing. Chloe has a serious love for literature and is very immersive when it comes to her works. She interprets her experiences into poetry that makes the reader feel the emotions portrayed. Here is a line from one of her works: I refused to make a home out of you. “In the middle of a dewy August night in the fairy lights, I found it. The love starring me down. Like a predator does to its prey. That’s when I figured out, love comes to you in gleaming eyes, ready to pounce when you least expect it. My love for you was real. I just loved myself more.”
After High School, she plans to attend Community College to earn her General Ed. Soon after Community, she plans to apply to several Universities to get her Masters's degree in English to become a freelance writer and author. Chloe has a bright future ahead of her, as she can begin her journey after high school, and transition into her writing career. We hope to see her name next to “New York’s Best Selling Author”. Wishing her the best of luck from the Minarets family to what her future may hold, good luck Chloe!
