Stanford Pre - Collegiate Studies is a program that offers the opportunity to spend the summer at Stanford studying math, physics, and humanities.
The ‘Stanford University Summer Camp’ (SUMaC) is a carefully chosen program that is centered around lectures, research, and group problem-solving in advanced math topics. The program is a month long and is intended for the people in grades 10 (Sophomores) and 11 (Juniors).
The ‘Stanford Pre-Collegiate University-Level Online Math and Physics’ is a part of the program that you can do from the comfort of your own home. The program offers 13 courses throughout the year, including a summer term for high school students, all grades 9–12. The students that participate would earn ‘Stanford University Continuing Studies credit.’
‘Stanford Summer Humanities Institute’ is a program that brings students in grades 10 and 11 together to explore the main questions at the center of humanities. Seminars will be held by renowned Stanford professors during this three-week residential program.
If your hopes and dreams are to one day go to a prestigious four year college where you would learn to do exactly what you want to, this program is highly recommended. If you were to have gone to a camp or joined a program like this, colleges would give you (the time of day/a second glance) instead of just moving on to the next person that might have done an itty bitty better than you.
