The Mustangs cheer team has changed over the years with new coaches, a new team, new routines, and last but not least new cheer captains for the varsity team. Our captains this year are senior Meagan Redman, juniorsBrooklyn Hadjis, Gracie Caudell, and Kaitlynn McDonald.
Since the start of school, Minarets cheerleaders have been busy. They have been working hard to learn new routines for both halftime at home football games and rallies, cheering on our football team at their games, and keeping our Mustang pride strong.
At both the Homecoming game and rally, the team had an amazing opportunity to show off school spirit and to show students, staff and parents all the hard work the cheer team has put in. Senior Meagan Redman explained at the rally that, "the cheer team is the largest it's ever been." This increase in cheerleaders has made it to where there are more stunt groups meaning there are more entertaining and complex things that can be shown.
Minarets Cheer is definitely off to a strong start. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram (@minaretscheer)!
