Our Minarets students recently took an exciting trip to China Peak where they were able to practice their skiing and snowboarding abilities. About 50 students took the trip, along with teachers Michael Vaughan, Kate Harris, and Ryan Davis. After interviewing Mr. Vaughan about these trips, he says he “really enjoys taking the students to China Peak every year because it gives new experiences to many and new memories to others.” The conditions were ideal for the winter sports which made the trip much more enjoyable! First time learners decided to reach out, follow their instructors tips, and navigate the snowy hills. Other experienced students spent the day shredding on more challenging runs while continuously honing their skills.

Lyric Ashton, who has been snowboarding for 4 years says this: “I was glad I was able to snowboard with a lot of my friends, as well as my teachers.” There are two more upcoming trips in February and March which aren’t worth missing. Minarets encourages other students to take a chance and enjoy themselves in the winter wonderland of China Peak!
