January 3, 2024 was the date of the senior night for wrestling and it was a hit! There was only one senior on the team so the whole night was dedicated to Minarets senior Jack Suehiro.

“I felt really good about my last wrestling match and it was quick and easy,” Jack said. Minarets was victorious in the match, so Jack felt like his Minarets wrestling career ended on a high note.

Jack says some specific techniques helped him throughout his season. “Some key things I learned from his wrestling experience are to always have a good stance, smart technique, staying patient, and having a strong and positive mindset,” he shared.

Jack’s biggest inspiration was his coaches, who have helped him since he started wrestling his Junior year.  After graduation, Jack plans to go to Madera Community College to continue his welding education.

To wrap it all up, the wrestling senior night was a big success to congratulate the one senior on the team especially because of the big win against Yosemite High School.
