Zoom: The New Communication

Updated: Sep 27, 2020

by Britteny Robertson

Zoom talks these days are the new face-to-face communication. These can be very helpful since students get a chance to talk with teachers, catch up with classmates, and learn using a new tool. It has allowed students the opportunity to learn and grown, despite the pandemic. Alica Hortan, a local college student, explained that Zoom has been helpful because "you have face to face interaction with your teacher and your classmates to catch up and to be able to get help easier”.

Of course, there are some disadvantages to Zoom communication since not all sessions are productive or unhelpful, but it has served as a valuable tool for students during the pandemic.
