The end of August always represents the conclusion of summer and the start of all things pumpkin-spiced. Yet for the Minarets Drama Club, it means it's time for their annual trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon.

While many drama directors may slowly ease into the school year, Mrs. West believes that the “intense infusion of live theatre early in the year establishes a positive climate for the drama students.” The Advanced Drama students were able to attend four plays, including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, backstage tours into the stage set, and specialized acting workshops that exposes them to the many facets and challenges of live theatre.

The Minarets Drama Club is now ready to hit the ground running and is gearing up for their production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
