Upcoming FFA Speaking Invitational

Updated: May 20, 2020

By Michael Rezendes

Have you ever wondered about the laws ran in English Parliament? Well this Saturday, FFA members from all over the State of California are traveling to Minarets High School to compete in the 4th Annual Minarets FFA Parliamentary Procedure and Speaking Competition.

At this event students will exhibit their knowledge about Parliamentary law through mock meetings, oral questions, and a multiple choice test. These students study Robert's Rules of Order to gain knowledge about these very complex laws.

In addition to this Parliamentary Procedure demonstration, this Invitational includes a creed speaking contest in which students recite

and answer questions about the FFA creed. In the impromptu speaking competition students prepare a 30 second to 2 minute speech about a random subject, quote, or key word.

Overall Minarets FFA is excited to see a great turnout.
