Minarets FFA represents the mountain area very well once more this school year. On Thursday, February 1st, Minarets FFA brought thirty-two speakers to the East Fresno Madera FFA Speaking Contest. The night included creed speaking, impromptu speaking, job interview, extemporaneous public speaking, and prepared public speech.
In impromptu, sophomores Mackenzie Camacho, Kate Hough, Meranda Adams, and Ella Vermeulen were finalists. Kate Hough placed fifth, Mackenzie placed fourth, and Ella placed third, sending Mackenzie and Ella to Regionals.
Juniors Katie Linderholm, Regan Fringer, seniorsBreezy Benally, and Justin Hough competed in job interview. In the end, Katie placed fourth and she’s preparing for regionals.
In extemporaneous public speaking, juniors Dilan Basila, Garrett Alford, and Natalie Anselmo competed and Garrett placed third
Finally, in prepared public speech, junior Michael Rezendes placed first in the EFM section.
