Spring Ag Day

Updated: May 20, 2020

The spring time is full of flowers, sunshine, and...agriculture. This year our chapter hosted an extremely successful Spring Ag Day on May 2nd, where elementary students from North Fork and Spring Valley schools got a taste of what our high school is like as well as the impact the agriculture industry has on their life. These students experienced booths ranging from welding demonstrations to learning about sheep wool and how animals find their way to the dinner table.

Many Minarets students volunteered to run booths and pass on their knowledge of agriculture. This event brought responsibility and leadership to these high school students and many students found their passion for educating our communities youth. Every year the Minarets FFA chapter puts on this event for one sole purpose, spreading the word of agriculture and every year we have done just that!

Overall it was excellent to see our community support come through to educate these young individuals about how the agriculture industry creates a lasting impact on all of those around us.
