The Sierra Art Trails Yosemite Foothills Open Studio Tour is celebrating its 16th year showcasing artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, wood carving, ceramics, and more.

Sierra Art Trails gives art enthusiasts the chance to see fine art and fine crafts in the making, and to purchase works directly from the people who create them. The show takes place in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses in more than a dozen communities in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties.

The cost of admission for two adults to all Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour locations over the event weekend is $20.00, and includes the annual Sierra Art Trails Catalog. The catalog includes details on attending the show, a list of artists, an example of their work, their viewing locations, and a detailed map to get you there. Local area businesses are selling the catalog as well as online. To find a location near you or purchase your catalog online, please visit https://sierraarttrails.org/order/

This year Sierra Art Trails will donate $2 from all 2018 online catalog sales to Cal-Fire. Sierra Art Trails is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting working artists and artisans, fostering art education, and building a reputation for the area as an arts destination. Art Trails raises funds for student scholarships, public arts, awards for artists and art organizations, and a unique student sponsorship program. Through these activities they seek to increase public awareness of the importance of the arts in our lives, and the role that artists play in building and maintaining a vibrant culture.

Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour runs from Friday, October 5th thru Sunday, October 7th, 2018.
