Challenges and Triumphs: The Mustangs Take A Win Home

Stunt isn’t just a game.

Stunt is a challenging sport.

In stunt there are four quarters. In the first quarter, the competition is held with partner stunts. The second quarter is showing strength through pyramids and tosses. Third is jumps and tumbling. Finally, the fourth quarter is a mash of all of it.

Stunt isn’t just a game, but a challenging sport.

On Friday, March 21st, 2025, the Lady Mustangs stunt team took home a win with a score of 12-10 against Matilda Torres. After hours of practice and learning, the girls worked hard and finally came together for the win. However, it wasn’t an easy win, both teams gave it their all. “I feel stressed and nervous when on the mat.” Base Ashlynn Reed said. Stunt isn’t just a game to the girls— it’s full of obstacles and challenges when competing. The feeling in their stomachs when nervous and thinking of the worst thing that could happen. These girls have to keep a stunt from falling, getting hurt, or ruining a routine. The moments before stepping on the mat when you feel sick to your stomach. The sport might not seem the hardest but it's challenging. This team works so hard so come out and support the Mustangs!
