Changes to the National Honor Society

Updated: Sep 27, 2020

by Eve Romano

The National Honor Society had been at Minarets since 2017, but there are some new changes coming this year. English Teacher Michael Land is the new advisor for NHS after social science teacher Katie Morgan stepped down.

Despite this change, the National Honor Society continues to exemplify scholarship, leadership, character, and service and is currently accepting applications for sophomores, juniors, and seniors who wish to join.

Applications are due Sept. 30 and you can get your applications from the front office, which is also where you will turn it in. After you have submitted your application, the NHS Faculty Council will review applications and notify those who have been accepted.

Remember, NHS is a prestigious program that will look great on resumes and college applications.
