Coach Pulliam believes that preparing for a game consists of practicing, watching film of the opponent, adding on chalk, and recovering every position.

“It’s just a process they go through. Repetition, repetition in everything you do up till Friday night.”

Coach Pulliam

The Minarets football team is a varsity team that believes in having the correct mindset as well as carrying themselves well. (Torin) They also value having maturity. (Paxton) The players also explained the capability of running the ball and passing well. (Adrian) (Cash) Everyone's relationship with the team is a huge factor depending on how it has formed and how the group comes together. Coach Pullaim’s qualities to be a varsity team player: “I don’t really care what grade level you are if you are a leader and you produce hard and people look up to you.”

The players’ preparations for a game consist of eating a slim five from Jimmy Johns (Torin), listening to music and preparing within themselves (Paxton), eating cheeseburgers (cash), watching a film with a pregame meal (Kyle), and praying. (Adrian) The preparations help with comfort and relief of stress so the movement on the field is to its highest standard.

Our Mustang Football team has had a strong first half of the season. The Minarets game vs Mariposa resulted in a win for our varsity team. We managed to accomplish a score of 55 - 7 due to our great offense passes from Adrian Vasquez and Torin Wolf and offense rushing made by Cade Fullmer, Kyle Alesi, and Jabari Gomez. We also won in our game against Sierra 44 - 6 because of the amazing amount of all-purpose yards accomplished by Joey Lamadrid and Caden Larsen. Riverdale ended with yet another win of 41 - 0 because of the efforts of the entire team and notably Dane Corkins, Paxton Torvsrud, Jabari Gomez, and JJ Suehiro's tackles.

The Minarets High School football team is figuring things out with the qualities of being developed, close, and connected. The school is so proud and pleased with everything they’ve accomplished so far this season.
