When you hear the words “Homecoming Football Game” what comes to your mind? Plenty of students would say something along the lines of seeing your friends, watching an entertaining game, and having a great time! The students, staff, and players of Minarets delivered all of those amazing elements on the night of Haunted Hoco.
The community of Minarets is a strong one. So many students showed up to watch their fellow Mustangs fight their hardest and play a great game of football against Chowchilla. Seeing everyone so excited to cheer on their team shows how unified we are as a school. On top of that, everyone who attended the game expressed how excited they were to be there. Charley VonBerg says that her favorite parts of football games are “seeing (her) friends and having fun times.”
Although the Mustangs lost their game, the way they played proved their extreme dedication. Football is such a physically and mentally demanding sport, and our players are so strong. All of the long practices pay off during their games. The plays, the running, the tackles, and the commitment were only a few of the amazing feats that our well-trained football program showed on Homecoming night.
In between our JV and Varsity games, the staff and students in our leadership program pulled out all the stops. The Homecoming float parade was executed so well. Haunted Hoco was the theme, and every single float was completely jaw-dropping. Just by looking at them, you could tell that everyone who helped create th
em was proud of their stunning work. It was an incredible experience and was inspiring to be able to see what our Mustangs can do when they come together.
Homecoming is a really important event for a lot of people. It goes to show that when the Mustangs come together for something they love, it’s going to be show-stopping. From the impactful support of everyone who showed up to the players that showed us an amazing game of football, Haunted Hoco was a amazing event that Minarets was proud to hold.
