On Dec. 10, the National Honor Society (NHS) chapter at Minarets hosted a holiday trivia night fundraiser to raise funds for the club.
NHS advisor Michael Land explained that all proceeds will be directed towards purchasing graduation medallions for senior members of the chapter. The main purpose though was more about celebrating the holidays, raising the holiday spirit, and allowing more people to be connected again.
The trivia contest itself consisted of a forty question Kahoot game, made by sophomore Kalé King, a new member of the chapter. The questions covered holiday traditions around the world in addition to mainstream holiday culture. Prizes included gift cards for Amazon, Starbucks, and Spotify Premium. Coming in first was alumnus Mikey King, followed by Minarets history teacher Katie Morgan in second and alumnus Kate Hough in third.
Minarets history teacher Katie Morgan explained, "Usually, I'm the one running Kahoot games so it was so much fun to be able to play with current and former students and staff members. I really hope NHS does another trivia night. It was the highlight of my evening!"
The entire Minarets NHS chapter would like to thank all who contributed or participated in the event to benefit the senior chapter members and to share in the holiday spirit.
