This year Minarets starts the cross country season off with a new coach. Mironyuk came here because he saw that Minarets was looking for a cross country coach and he loves running and would like to be a teacher later on. He is excited to watch everyone on the team get a good personal record and see them improve. In fact, he thinks that the team has a good chance of winning the cross country league.

There are even some new faces on the team. Junior Ryan Hough says “this year for cross country is my first year so I’m really excited to get faster and be able to work with everybody else on cross country making sure that not only I’m getting faster but everybody else is trying to get better.''

Cross country’s next meet is coming up on Sep. 14. Mironyuk is looking forward to this upcoming meet so he can see the growth of everyone on the team. Senior Michael King, says “I’m excited about getting to have a fun time with everyone on the team.”
