Rocking the Stage: Minaret’s Bands Deliver a Showstopper Performance

One of the most integral and diverse parts of Minaret’s culture is our music department. With so many different opportunities to express oneself, it’s no wonder that the program is so successful! Our skilled guitar, percussion, and concert band sections are run by Bill Samuelson, while our beloved Rock Band and Show Band are led by Rocky Von Wagner. Together, they come together two nights a year to perform in their notorious Winter and Spring concerts!

This year, our guitar section kicked things off by serenading the audience. After their beautiful performances, our concert band took the stage. Samuelson did an amazing job, sharing the spotlight with his professional conducting skills. After a quick intermission, it was time for our Show Band and Rock Band to take over the night!

Vice Principal Brian Curwick says, "Every time I see them play, they keep getting better and better. They had the crowd on their feet, and everyone was either lip-syncing, dancing, or both." The energy was high, and our Mustangs put on an amazing performance, making our school proud once again! All of their hard work and performances always pay off. Bassist Logan Haynes says, “This was the best setlist by far, and everyone did amazing. I loved it!"

Overall, their concert was a huge success and attracted people through the amazing music and fun atmosphere. We can’t wait to see what they perform at the next concert!
