Minaret’s Press has chosen to interview Felicia Keg for the class of 2023 Senior Spotlight! She attended Minarets High School for four years and graduated from North Fork Middle School. She has set a great example to her younger classmen and has continued her commitment to the Native American Club!
Keg is an active student who is involved in the Native American Club and hopes to keep the club alive even after quarantine had taken a toll on the club prior. We asked where she’d imagine herself to be in ten years, and Keg's response was very short and simple. She states that after she graduates, she intends to work at a very high-paying job while living an ordinary life with a pet dog or cat. After high school, she plans to attend Fresno State and possibly live in Oregon or Washington State once she graduates.
Further into the interview, we asked her what advice she would give to incoming freshmen. She thought for a moment before responding. “I guess, just, going into high school more humbled and open, and remember that they’re not the center of attention,” she continued with a nod, "just being more calm.”
The next question was which teacher she would remember the most after graduating. “I’d say, Mr. Kelly,” she answered with certainty, “he’s a very good teacher, very motivational, and understanding.” Keg further explains how he’s been doing his best to help the Native American club stay alive, and she’s very grateful for that.
Felicia Keg has shown compassion to her classmates and friends. Minarets hopes she continues to prosper in the future, and we wish her nothing but success. Congratulations Felicia!
