Slip n’ Slide into the New School Year: Minarets FFA August Meeting

The FFA August meeting was a great way to start off the 2021 school year. The newly

elected officer team and executive committee put a lot of time and effort into finding a way to start the year off great. Most would agree they did just that. The meeting, hosted on

Wednesday, August 28th, was open to all members.

When interviewed, Ms. Sani, the student teacher in the Ag department, said that the meeting was professional and well put together. She was extremely excited that the chapter officers were out and about mingling with others and making everyone feel welcomed. She stated, “It went really well over all, no one seemed nervous and if someone messed up, you weren’t able to tell.” When asked what she would take away from the meeting and take to a new school, she explained that she definitely loved how prepared and professional the meeting was. Sani was asked what her perspective was and she went on to say, “For me, I didn’t do FFA in high school, so it’s interesting to learn and experience things like these with the team.”

Ms. Rios, the new Ag Mechanics and Ag welding teacher was overjoyed about the first meeting of the year. She went on to say in the interview that the officer team and the executive committee did a wonderful job. She loved seeing the team working together and mingling with their fellow classmates, even if they had never met. She then stated, “The activities were amazing and well put together, and organized.” Rios also explained that next time she would maybe like a more interactive raffle, but other than that, says it went great.

The FFA team says it was a great turn out and they hope to see even more members at the September meeting! The Executive Committee would also like to tell everyone, “We want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us and our first meeting of the year. It is our hopes and goal for us to see more and more of you at the future meetings. But for now, stay safe and welcome to our comeback year!”
